People consider ride on lawnmowers for veld cutting because of their wide cutting width, but there are too many wearing parts on the cutting deck, and will result in high maintenance costs if used for veld-cutting.

parts like the head lights, bonnet and nose section tend not to last. Also resulting in high repair costs.

Having a wider cutting width, directly has an effect on how hard the motor has to work to get an area mowed. So wider cutting width = less time spent mowing = less strain on motor = less maintenance costs. Keep all of these factors in mind when shopping around, in order to make the right decision.
