When it comes to cutting South African veld
grass, not just any normal trimmer will do.
Any OPS agent would rather recommend a brush-cutter. A brush-cutter is easily recognizable by its straight shaft from the handles down to the gearbox.The reason why these last so much better is that is uses a straight stainless steel drive shaft that runs through bevel gears, that then drives the cutting attachment. Two strokes are the preferred motor in these machines, because of the high RPM they are capable of running. A diaphragm carb is also important, as it ensures that the machine can run at any angle.
